Chapter 2398 - 2374: No Need to Apologize

An artillery company requires a lot of things, especially if we plan to take all the ammunition with us, it will indeed take some effort.

At that moment, Salim came over once again with his men.

Salim always appeared anxious, though Gao Yang never understood what there was to be anxious about. But this time, Salim genuinely seemed worried.

"Lavagani is bringing people over!"

Gao Yang spread his hands and said, "What does it matter if Lavagani comes? Does he want to snatch the spoils from me?"

Salim, looking troubled, said, "That’s precisely what I’m worried about."

Gao Yang chuckled indifferently, then calmly said, "Only I can take things from others, no one can take things from me. Relax."

Salim, in great difficulty, said, "Avoiding conflict would be best, as it would be troublesome. So hurry and take your men and anything you want, and leave. I will explain things to Abdullah, and he will understand. Hurry, brother, I know you fear nothing, but do me a favor, can you?"

Gao Yang looked at Salim seriously and said, "My brother, I understand your difficulties and I respect your wishes, so alright, I’ll leave now."

There is no need to clash with the Iranians, so Gao Yang immediately spoke over the radio, "Turtle, Wild Duck, and Cobra, take your men and leave immediately. Wild Duck, take the important things with you; unimportant items can be collected later. Act swiftly."

After issuing the order, Gao Yang smiled at Salim and said, "There are tanks and armored vehicles here, along with some cannons. They are yours; you need to dispatch someone to receive and guard them and move them swiftly."

Salim hurriedly said, "It’s okay, I’ll see you off first and then we’ll leave."

After all, it’s better to avoid unnecessary trouble. Gao Yang quickly led his men to withdraw, marching ahead with vehicles following, making their way toward the gate grandly.

Gao Yang’s mood was relaxed, but it abruptly changed when he reached the gate, as Lavagani arrived at that very moment.

Lavagani had blocked the entrance.

He parked several cars to block the gate, setting up the show first. Then, he slowly emerged from behind the trucks, waved to Gao Yang, and shouted loudly, "Hello, Mr. Peter Ram, we meet again."

Gao Yang was annoyed at the glaring headlights but still raised his hand to wave and smiled, "How coincidental, Mr. Lavagani."

"Of course, it’s a given. Look, your artillery is over there, we don’t need them anymore, they’re all yours."

Gao Yang pointed behind Lavagani, to the four 122-caliber cannons Rebrov brought.

"Right there, those four towed artillery pieces aren’t needed, please take them away."

Lavagani smiled, "No, no, you misunderstand. I meant all the equipment in this camp, including the self-propelled artillery behind you, and of course, I’ll take those four towed cannons too."

Gao Yang’s smile turned even more courteous as he said, "So you intend to seize my spoils?"

Lavagani shook his head and then waved his index finger, smiled, "It’s not about seizing spoils, it’s that everything here belongs to us and should be received and arranged by us. So, I’m sorry, but you’ll have to leave everything here."

Gao Yang’s smile finally vanished, and he grew weary of the hypocritical exchanges.

"I’m starting to get angry. We conquered this place, everything here is my spoils, and now you want to take them away, which genuinely angers me."

Lavagani responded regretfully, "I’m sorry you’re angry, but it’s useless because I need to take all the equipment due to orders from above, and our agreements with the Houthis Armed Forces, so I apologize for making you upset."

Gao Yang shook his head, calmly saying, "Seems you don’t understand what’s about to happen, Mr. Lavagani. You don’t need to be regretful or apologetic, because once I’m angry, it’ll be me who needs to apologize."
