Chapter 604

Du Fei turned his head to look at Zhu Ting, and said with a smile, "Okay, it's quite romantic to walk on snow under the darkness of night."

Zhu Ting smiled and came up to hold his arm.

During the day, Zhu Ting would not dare to have such intimacy outside.

But now, those who are black and white, don't have so many scruples.

After walking a few steps, Zhu Ting didn't speak.

Du Fei saw that she was thinking, and asked, "What's the matter? I'm not too emotional~"

Zhu Ting gave a "hmm", leaned closer to Du Fei, and said in a low voice, "It's Lilac."

"Yang Dingxiang? What's wrong with her?" Du Fei asked back. I haven't seen her for a few days recently. Could something be wrong?

Zhu Ting said: "Ding Xiang has returned to Xinji, and Yang's mother is ill, it seems...it seems very serious."

Du Fei thought it was no wonder.

In fact, Du Fei has always felt that the relationship between Zhu Ting and Yang Dingxiang is a bit strange.

The two are intimate yet alienated.

Including a period of time before, Yang Dingxiang popped up every now and then to join Du Fei.

Although there was no clear behavior, Du Fei always felt that Yang Dingxiang looked at him a little strangely.

But after the summer, it suddenly disappeared.

Du Fei said, "Are you worried about her?"

Zhu Ting said "hmm": "When she was young, she was just like my own sister..."

Du Fei listened with a slight difference in his heart.

He had already guessed that Zhu Ting's family had a relationship with Yang Dingxiang, but Zhu Ting didn't mention it before, and he didn't ask.

It turns out that Yang Dingxiang and Zhu Ting are really family friends. Yang Dingxiang's father and Zhu's father were in the same army in the early days.

In 47, when Hu Zongnan attacked northern Shaanxi, little Zhu Ting and Zhu's mother got separated. It was Yang's mother who carried the other on her back and took them out.

But after liberation, as Dad Yang and Dad Zhu disagreed on many things, and even went against each other, and became different factions, the relationship between the two became colder.

If that's all it's okay.

After all, this kind of situation is not uncommon, but then Father Yang broke something and was sent in.

There are some reasons for Zhu's father.

Although according to Zhu Ting, Zhu's father did not frame her, but in Yang Dingxiang's mind, it may not be so.

Zhu Ting continued: "It's been a difficult time for Ding Xiang these past few years. Seeing her laughing and laughing, optimistic, and suffering in her heart, no outsider can know. This time Mama Yang will have something wrong, I'm really afraid... I'm afraid she won't be able to stand it. "

Du Fei held Zhu Ting's hand behind his back, but he couldn't say any comforting words.

In fact, what Zhu Ting needs is not consolation.

After dating for so long, Du Fei has become more and more familiar with Zhu Ting's character.

Growing up in this kind of family and having experienced war when she was young, her character is very tough and strong.

She said this to Du Fei not to seek comfort.

Just wanting to tell my lover what's on my mind, it's enough for Du Fei to listen by the side.

Then Zhu Ting talked about the past.

After liberation, for a while, Yang Dingxiang's parents returned to Xinj to work, and Yang Dingxiang was fostered at Zhu Ting's house.

At that time, they were just like their own sisters, wearing the same skirts and sleeping on the same bed. Yang Dingxiang called her sister instead of adding the word Ting like now.

Even when Zhu Ting had menstruation for the first time, Yang Dingxiang was covered in blood.

But not long after that, something happened to the Yang family and everything changed...

In the evening, Du Fei left Zhu Ting's house.

Although I heard Zhu Ting talking about the past tonight, Du Fei didn't feel that Yang Dingxiang was so pitiful.

Of course, if nothing happened to Papa Yang, she must be a heavenly girl like Zhu Ting now.

But even the current Yang Dingxiang far exceeds ninety-nine percent of ordinary people.

Not to mention anything else, just being a college student at Minzu University is enough to benefit her for the rest of her life.

As long as she graduates and is assigned a job, the starting salary is the end point of many people's struggle for a lifetime.

The reason why Zhu Ting felt sorry for her was because she could have been better.

And because of their shared childhood experience, Zhu Ting regards her as a relative.

At this time, Du Fei had more important things to do.

Eight o'clock in the evening.

Du Fei rode his bicycle to Ningcui nunnery in the north of the city.

If Wang Yufen hadn't been waiting at a distant intersection in advance, he might not have been able to find the right place.

This place is not remote, but it is troublesome. The plaque of "Ningcui Temple" on the gate of the courtyard has been removed.

Even if Du Fei passed by the door, he could only turn a blind eye.

Ningcui Nunnery is a standard three-entry courtyard house with "one acre and three parts of land".

The outer wall skin is a little mottled and looks a little dilapidated.

But when you get inside, it's a different scene.

The entire yard is cleaned very neatly, and it is no exaggeration to say that it is spotless.

The two parked their bicycles in the front yard, and Wang Yufen led the way.

Instead of going to the residence in Cixin's backyard, he took Du Fei into the wing room of the middle courtyard.

This is the place for formal hospitality.

When they came to the door, Wang Yufen knocked on the door and said, "Master, Donor Du has arrived."

"Come in" came from inside the room.

Du Fei couldn't help being a little surprised when he heard this.

Contrary to what he had expected, this voice was very crisp and clear, without any sense of aging.

Logically speaking, as Zai Zhen's illegitimate daughter, Ci Xin should have been born around 1910, and she is in her 50s by now.

She is about the same age as Qin Huairou's mother-in-law, and older than Da Ma.

And Du Fei only thought for a moment, the door has already opened.

Wang Yufen said "please come in" and asked Du Fei to go ahead.

There was electric light in the room, and the wattage of the bulb was not small.

The furnishings are simple and there is a faint scent of sandalwood.

Facing the door, there are three-piece tables and chairs against the wall.

Sitting on the main seat was a nun wearing a gray-blue monk's robe. She stood up and clasped her hands together and said, "Amitabha, the benefactor has finally come."

Seeing this nun, Du Fei was startled.

It's just that this nun looks too young and beautiful.

Just by looking at it, Ci Xin is only in her early thirties.

Although she was wearing a monk's robe and a monk's hat, she could not see her figure at all, and her hair was not modified, but just by looking at this face, she was a great beauty, and her appearance was not inferior to that of Qin Huai and Ruan Zhu Ting.

If she was younger and put on fancy clothes, she might be even better.

Du Fei thought to himself: "Isn't this old nun turned into a vixen?"

"Amitabha, the almsgiver has made a sign." Compassionately said.

Du Fei's heart trembled: "What do you mean? Playing tricks, or can this girl see what I'm thinking?"

Fortunately, Du Fei was not easy to get along with. He immediately guessed that Ci Xin probably knew some way to observe micro-expressions, and coupled with his vague speech, it made people suspicious.

What's more, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, human nature flourished, ghosts and gods were changed, and no one was allowed to become a master in the mountains, let alone the most benevolent place under the feet of the emperor.

But having said that, this nun does have some skills and is quite difficult to deal with.

Du Fei took advantage of the situation and asked back: "Dare to ask the master, what is the meaning?"

Compassionate said: "Don't dare to be a master, the benefactor can call me to be compassionate. The so-called appearance, the mind is persistent, and the intention is in the appearance."

Du Fei frowned, and said with a sneer, "Then I think the master has a picture too."

Compassionate face was calm, and said lightly: "What did the benefactor say?"

Du Fei glanced around, and said in a calm manner: "Just now Comrade Wang Yufen and I came in, the whole journey was spotless, and it was the same when we entered the room."

Compassionately said, "The pure ground of the Buddhist gate must be wiped frequently, so as not to stir up dust."

Du Fei laughed and said: "Since the master knows the "Bodhi Exposition" of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng, why is he willing to be inferior?"

The allusion of "Bodhi Jie" written by Huineng, the sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism, has been widely spread in later generations.

Compassionately said: "The Sixth Patriarch said: There is no tree for Bodhi, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the first place. Where can the dust be aroused? It is a natural practice, and it is the way of heaven. It is not something ordinary people of our generation can covet. On the contrary, it is beautiful. The patriarch said: the body is like a bodhi tree, the heart is like a mirror, wipe it diligently at all times, so as not to stir up dust. Although it falls into the lower vehicle, it is the way of humanity, and although it does not achieve the right fruit, it is the only way for mere mortals."

Du Fei blinked his eyes and realized the problem.

He is also unlucky, this girl has studied Buddhist scriptures for decades, talking about it with her is not looking for abuse.

But admitting defeat at this time is tantamount to taking a blow.

Let's talk about other things below, and the momentum is weaker.

Du Fei simply resorted to sophistry, you say Qianmen building, I say hip bone shaft.

He sneered and said: "The only way? I'm afraid there is no way, and in the end, it will be a waste of water from the bamboo basket."

Compassionate mind is not angry even when one sentence negates the practice method.

Instead, he looked at Du Fei and said calmly, "Master Shi."

Du Fei calmed down and said: "The master is a great virtue of Buddhism. He has practiced for many years and his Dharma is profound. Let me tell you that Dharma must be a trick of others. But if you think about it, you will find the same result by different routes. Lao Tzu's "Tao De Jing" said that the highest virtue is not virtue, so there is Virtue. The lower virtue is immoral, so there is no virtue. Buddhism and Taoism are the same, the superior method, you can get it without needing to ask for it. The lower vehicle method, even if you wipe it frequently, is also inferior and immoral. Therefore, there is no virtue, and it will eventually become empty .”

Compassionately said: "The benefactor also studied the Tao Te Ching?"

Du Fei said: "Don't dare to delve into it, I know a thing or two."

Compassionately sighed: "Forget it, it doesn't matter if you have a door but no path, or you have no virtue. I am originally a person with six impure roots, so I didn't dare to extravagantly hope to achieve a positive result, but..."

Speaking of this, she looked deeply at Du Fei, and her eyes seemed to be shining brightly.

Du Fei's hair straightened when he was looked at.

Although the face of compassion is very young, it is too old.

The corner of Du Fei's mouth twitched, and he interrupted: "Well, master, let's stop talking around, now that the fourth uncle is broken outside, let's not talk about it. You have repeatedly asked me to come over, what advice do you have?"

Du Fei stared at her, but Ci Xin didn't respond immediately.

On the other hand, Wang Yufen didn't dare to vent her anger.

Although the conversation between Du Fei and Ci Xin just now was not long, it was full of back and forth, sharp tongues.

She followed compassion since she was a child, not only learning martial arts, but also learned a lot of Buddhism.

It's just that Compassionate kept saying that she didn't have the karma of Buddhism and would not enter Buddhism.

But just now, Wang Yufen heard that Du Fei actually denied the practice of compassion at the root.

Said that she has no way to go, no hope of practice.

However, Ci Xin didn't refute it, as if she had acquiesced!

This made Wang Yufen unbelievable.

At such a young age, Du Fei had such a profound cultivation of Buddhism that her master was speechless.
