Chapter 1996 - 1994: [Repay Every Meal, Yazi Never Forgives]
Chapter 1996 - 1994: [Repay Every Meal, Yazi Never Forgives]
The unknown being inside the sedan is incredibly powerful!Ye Tianchen fought fiercely with it for over an hour, from the outskirts of Medicine King Valley, battling all the way to the cities of East State’s Barbaric Forbidden Land. Both were equally matched in this great battle, neither gaining the slightest advantage!
However, just as Ye Tianchen’s right index and middle fingers condensed the strongest Martial Arts True Qi, a formidable physical body power struck out, shattering the sedan carrying this unknown being, revealing its true appearance!
When Ye Tianchen saw this unknown being, he had no idea what it was. He only knew it had to be a Demon Beast!
Yet, in the city of East State, the others watching Ye Tianchen’s battle with the sedan’s unknown being were utterly shocked. They were dumbfounded, not believing their eyes, and were extremely amazed to see the revealed true face of the mysterious creature!
"Yazi, it’s definitely Yazi!"
"My heavens, can such an Immortal Beast like Yazi truly exist in this world?"
"How is this possible? This is the Martial Arts World, without a precedent of becoming Immortal. Yazi is the descendant of the Immortal Dragon..."
"No, though the unknown being inside the sedan is Yazi, it’s actually a descendant of Yazi. Its lineage has been impure for a long time. If it were the true Yazi, it would have long ruled the Martial Arts World, having already ascended to Immortality, how could it still remain in the world?"
"So that means the nine sons of the Immortal Dragon, including Yazi, are not legends but real entities!"
"Even if the unknown being inside the sedan is not the true Yazi, its lineage has long been impure, yet it is still incomparable to common Demon Beasts!"
"Indeed, just the aura of this creature is enough to subdue countless beings of the Demon Clan!"
Ye Tianchen frowned, coldly gazing at the creature’s true face inside the sedan, involuntarily smiling, because the various beings watching their battle were softly discussing amongst themselves. He could hear them; most were in astonishment, unable to believe that such a being like Yazi truly existed in this Martial Arts World. This was something none of them had anticipated.
"My goodness, it’s actually Yazi, no wonder the demonic aura is so powerful!" the Flying Little Leopard said in shock.
"I didn’t expect the unknown being inside the sedan to be a descendant of Yazi!" remarked the youth of the Black Sky Cat Clan in surprise.
"No wonder it is so formidable and overbearing, it has some Yazi lineage, holding itself in high esteem!" stated the burly man of the Divine Power Pangolin Clan with knitted brows.
"This phrase ’a meal must be repaid, Yazi will exact revenge’ is merely how the Mortal World describes this being’s narrow-mindedness, correct?" said the girl of the Immortal Deer Descendant Clan coldly.
Yazi!
He is the second son of the Immortal Dragon from mythical era legends, often holding a treasured sword in his mouth, glaring ferociously, carved on sword rings and hilts to increase his immense power.
One of the nine sons of the Immortal Dragon, though a Dragon Seed, his form resembled that of a wolf and leopard. His father was enraged and wanted to abandon him, but luckily his mother pleaded, allowing him to survive.
After ten years, he became an adult, bid farewell to his family, and journeyed to the ends of the earth. Standing amidst heaven and earth, he saw vast seas and skies, an immeasurable expanse; winds rising and clouds surging, infinitely deep. He couldn’t help but feel deeply moved: "Though I am not dragon-shaped, my spirit is that of a dragon. Despite lacking the Dragon Clan’s ability to Call the Wind and Summon the Rain and soar through clouds and mist, I possess towering pride and ambitions for all horizons. My father judged by appearances; I dare not say, yet those with ambition can both yield and prevail. Now, establishing my own path, I vow to achieve great things, to honor the name of the Dragon Son Yazi!" With that, he roamed the world to seek opportunities for achievement.
Ji Chang is known as King Zhou Wen, serving under Shang Zhou. King Zhou indulged in carnal pleasures, consumed by lust, his actions immoral. King Zhou Wen advised him, but King Zhou disliked it, firstly killing his eldest son, then plotting against King Zhou Wen. Fortunately, King Zhou Wen avoided death, fled in desolation, endured many difficulties, and returned to the capital Xi Qi. King Zhou was enraged, issuing orders to all lords, intending to raise armies to destroy Zhou and eliminate future threats.
Since returning to Zhou, King Zhou Wen struggled with restlessness day and night. Zhou was in imminent danger, while King Zhou Wen’s days felt like years.
One day, King Zhou Wen dreamed of the arrival of the Dragon God; wishing to invite him, he awoke. Skilled in prophecy, King Zhou Wen selected an auspicious day to divine, saying, "To the east of Xi Qi, there is a worthy person offering assistance." Thus he went.
After traveling only a few miles, by the river next to a large rock, he found a strange man. This man had a peculiar form; his face resembled a wolf, body like a leopard, silver sword carried on his back, ragged robe of golden armor; majestic and intimidating, with a posture suggesting he might swallow the moon, and an aura conveying he could grasp the sun. This man was none other than the Dragon Son Yazi. Bolstered by courage, King Zhou Wen asked him, "What is your origin? Why is your form so peculiar?"
The answer said: "Dragon Son Yazi!"
King Zhou Wen was greatly shocked, suspecting divine assistance, and said: "I am named Ji Chang, the King Zhou Wen of Zhou."
Yazi was also astonished, seeing the old man’s extraordinary demeanor, never expecting him to be King Zhou Wen. Yazi thought happily, today’s event can be accomplished. He then saluted: "Greetings, King Wen!"
King Wen returned the salute and said: "I am ill, making it difficult to sleep and eat, as if sitting on a needle cushion."
Yazi laughed heartily, King Wen did not understand and asked why.
Yazi laughed and said: "King Wen’s illness has been long-standing; it is simply King Zhou attacking Zhou!"
King Wen was shocked and immediately looked somber: "King Zhou has sent decrees to various feudal lords, intending to attack my Zhou under the guise of rebellion; Zhou is in danger!"
"How will the King respond?"
King Wen answered: "King Zhou is like a tiger. Now King Zhou wishes to carry the world’s soldiers to attack Zhou, surrounded on all sides by enemies, the few cannot resist the many. Zhou is like meat on the chopping block with tigers all around, multiple tigers competing to eat; what use is resistance? If we reject the soldiers with war, we will all perish; if we do not reject, we silently await death. What sorrow! What pain!"
Yazi said: "How can King Wen sit and await death?"
King Wen hesitated for a moment and then said: "The way of a son prioritizes filial piety; the way of a minister employs loyalty. King Zhou is without reason, heaven itself reprimands him; if Ji Chang thus violates King Zhou’s intent, it is disloyalty. Ji Chang being disloyal will anger King Zhou leading to an attack on Zhou. If this results in squandering the ancestral foundation, it is unfilial. Therefore, Ji Chang must present his head to apologize, to retreat King Zhou’s army so that reputation does not suffer damage."
Yazi coldly laughed several times: "People say King Zhou Wen is a righteous and benevolent monarch; seeing him now, just a pedantic old man!"
King Wen angrily said: "Ji Chang treats you with respect, why do you speak thus?" He wished to leave. Yazi laughed again. King Wen asked: "Without kindred spirits, what is laughable?"
Yazi then spoke earnestly: "Now King Zhou raises soldiers against Zhou; refusing to fight is King Wen’s lack of resolve; creating the ancestral foundation was not easy, now completely destroyed by the King’s hand is King Wen’s lack of filial piety; King Zhou’s use of soldiers, the arrow already on the bowstring, the sword unsheathed, how can it pause for King Wen’s head? The King’s wishful thinking is mere feminine insight, King Wen lacks wisdom; as a monarch, one must grace the populace, if due to the King a disaster invades, the King lacks benevolence; King Zhou was without reason, sorrow ebbs and flows, if one righteous army strikes, heroes will arise to aid, Zhou’s army will surely collapse, King Wen’s lack of raising troops is lack of strategy. That is why I laughed!"
King Wen gained sudden insight, feeling ashamed and said: "Ji Chang was pedantic, embarrassed to admit, nearly ruining great affairs, an admirable person’s words were like thunder awakening a dream. However, the ancestral foundation is like a candle in the wind, how should we confront it?"
Yazi drew out a silver knife, sketching a map upon a large stone, using the knife as a pen pointing out the landscape, saying: "Shang Zhou’s domain spans thousands of miles, power spread over the world, truly externally strong but internally weak. Zhou’s military authority is scattered among various lords, directly obeying Zhou within Zhao Ge region only. Therefore, King Wen must first ally with various lords, that is the superior strategy. Quickly dispatch eloquent emissaries to persuade them. Instruct the emissary with these words: ’King Zhou’s tyranny, no one dares speak; Zhou and various lords have a relationship like lips and teeth, if the lips perish the teeth suffer cold, thus not aiding Zhou as a joke. Now King Zhou raises troops, the populace voices mourn, the country faces disaster; Zhou may seize public sentiment; Zhao Ge is over a thousand miles from Xi Qi, not arriving in a day, Zhou may seize geographical advantage; Zhou’s avaricious abandonment of ministers acts against heaven, Zhou may seize heavenly timing. Previously, Shang Tang overturned abdication with inheritance, replaced Xia with Shang; now Shang Zhou acts against heaven unrighteously, also shall heroes replace them. Thus Zhou and various lords form a blood alliance, raise troops to attack Shang!’ In this manner, what reason is there for lords not to ally?"
King Wen rejoiced, saying: "Ji Chang will immediately dispatch eloquent emissaries to various lords to persuade them, establishing the vow of blood alliance."
Yazi said: "Very good."
King Wen further asked: "If Zhou raises troops, how should we greet them?"
Yazi pointed the knife at the map and said: "Survey the world’s situation; Zhou is in the West, Shang in the East, separated by thousand miles. Zhou’s army moves slowly up to a year, fast within several months, not arriving in a day. During this time, King Wen can refine governance, stockpile food and soldiers, thereby repelling their forces. They come a thousand miles, soldiers and horses exhausted, we can await them with ease while laboring; they come from afar, urgent in attack, we can avoid them, prolonged attack leads to folly, soldiers fear disorder; employ a stratagem to counterattack, Zhou’s army will collapse, pursue victory, advancing to Zhao Ge with a single push, the world shall be settled!"
King Wen delighted greatly, thereby bowing to Yazi and said: "Indeed great aspirations, farsighted vision, brilliant talent and strategy, surely possessing concealed cosmic potentials, the admirable person is truly aspirational; Ji Chang is inferior! Ji Chang now seeks talent eagerly, if the admirable person assists, the affair will be accomplished, please do not decline."
Yazi then bowed to King Wen and said: "Though Yazi is a Dragon Son, my appearance is ugly, and I lack the ability to Call the Wind and Summon the Rain, thus not recognized by my father, truly just a rural commoner. Sheltered by King Wen’s favor, though lacking talent, I shall exert all efforts to support, to rectify my name as Dragon Son. Yazi is a mere martial warrior, can lead troops to combat well enough, though weak in governing the state. Now King Wen can follow the riverbank and find a fishing elder, named Jiang Shang, titled Ziya, although beyond sixty, truly a sage, with talents to govern the times, the King must hasten to employ him, with Jiang Ziya, the world can be settled."
After speaking, King Wen led Yazi along the riverbank in search of Jiang Ziya.
Later, as Yazi predicted, various lords allied with Zhou, all sending troops to aid. King Wen gained greater support, all aspirants gravitated towards him. A year later, King Wen passed away, his son Ji Fa ascended, titled King Zhou Wu. Soon after, Zhou’s army arrived. Jiang Ziya and Yazi greeted them with troops. Zhou’s army was severely defeated, and King Wu personally led troops in pursuit. At the Battle of Mu Ye, they crushed Zhou’s forces, Shang Zhou fell, King Zhou Wu unified the world. No lord dared oppose, all advanced to the capital for salutations.
Afterwards, King Zhou Wu awarded Jiang Ziya the title Marquis, named "Qi"; while Zhou unified the world, Yazi departed without farewell, King Zhou Wu mournfully sighed, personally ordered craftsmen to cast Yazi’s likeness within swords and blades’ dragon swallowing mouth, passed down for generations to express gratitude for Dragon Son Yazi’s help in supporting Zhou.
